Dosa

Ingredients:
Dosa rice         – ½ kg
Split urad dal -100g(mix 1spoon fenugreek - optional)
Salt to taste

Method:

Step 1:
Soak rice and dal separately for 6-8 hrs.
Step 2:
Wash and grind dal and rice separately to a soft consistency paste .
Step 3:
Finally to make batter, mix rice and dal. Add salt to taste.
Step 4:
Cover and keep aside for 8-10 hrs to ferment.
Step 5:
Heat the dosa-tava and take ladle full of batter and pour the batter on heated dosa tava. Pour oil around the dosa and wait to cook both side of dosa.

Serve with coconut chutney or tomato chutney.

Note:
Now a days no one prepare for dosa batter. They won't grind separately for dosa and idli. They use idli batter instead of dosa batter. For this, they mix some more water in idli batter. This batter is dosa batter.
