How to make basic quilling art shapes for beginner
STEP BY STEP METHOD FOR QUILLING SHAPES
ROUND COIL
It's a basic shape in quilling art. From this you can create more design using your creativity. The following image shows step by step method. Follow and try out this design.
HEART SHAPE
This heart shape is little different from regular heart shape but it is a bretty design. Make lot different heart shape like this.
DOUBLE SCROLL
How to make double scroll pattern, nothing but it is just rolled and loosen to create this scroll.
See the sample pattern and try out.
This one is loosen scroll. You may try tight double scroll .
Making quilling art shapes is not a big things. Its easy to everyone. From this post, you can learn and make quilling shape easily. In my previous post i have explained quilling material. One of the important material is quilling stripes only. It will be very low cost in the market. Buy it and make awesome design. You may use as tool whatever you have at home and also can create according to your creativity. That is pencil, tooth pick, comb, any round shape and so on.

Here we are going to make some basic quilling shapes. Just roll in the quilling needle or any other tools . Then press and release the strips due to wanted shape. Glue it and get the shape.Using this basic shape, You can create jewelry, greetings card, photo frame, key chain and so on. See the sample and try also lot of shape according your creativity.
ROUND COIL
It's a basic shape in quilling art. From this you can create more design using your creativity. The following image shows step by step method. Follow and try out this design.

- Take the any one color strip and insert into the split of the needle.
- Roll well around the needle.
- Finally apply the glue and get the round coil
- Similarly created loosen round coil and multi color round coil
HEART SHAPE
Making this shape is also easy. This is a beautiful one for creating greeting cards, key chain and so on. Heart shape can be created using various method. See below one of them and try out this design. Make other heart shape using your creativity.
- Just roll full length strip in back end of the needle . You can use any other object.
- Glue the end part of strip and remove from the needle.
- Press inward and bend with a finger as figure shown and do it till getting heart shape.
DOUBLE SCROLL
How to make double scroll pattern, nothing but it is just rolled and loosen to create this scroll.
See the sample pattern and try out.
- Take full length of the quilling strips and mark a dot in the middle of the quilling strips. That is separated two equal part.
- Just roll one equal part of the paper in the quilling needle. Like this, roll other equal part of paper in opposite direction as per photo.
WATER DROP/ TEAR DROP
This is one of the basic shape in quilling art. It will be use to make more beautiful design. Practise with them.
- Roll strips tightly in quilling needle or other tool.
- Allow to loose coil and apply glue at the end of strip.
- Hold the coil between your index and thumb finger.
- Press inward with the finger.

LEAF / MARQUISE SHAPE
This method is like that water-drops. See the sample and try out
- Roll strips tightly in quilling needle or other tool.
- Allow to loose coil and apply glue at the end of strip.
- Hold the coil between your index and thumb finger.
- Squeeze both end of the coil with the finger as per photo.
DIAMOND
Diamond shape is also easy one. See the sample and try out.
- Roll strips tightly in quilling needle or other tool and remove from that tool.
- Allow to loose coil and apply glue at the end of strip.
- Hold the coil among your index and thumb finger of two hands as figure shown.
- Press inward with the finger as figure shown.
OTHER SHAPE
You can create different shape using what you have any object . Here also I have created using what i have. See the sample and try out with different object whatever you think.
Circle,semi circle, square
This circle shape will be use for making jewelry. Try out the sample.
- Take quilling strips and any cylindrical object.
- Roll around the cylindrical object and apply the glue it's end .
- Remove from the cylindrical object and it will be use to create other quilling design.
- Same process for semi circle and square
