How to prepare Rasam recipe

Rasam is one of the simple and easy to prepare recipe. There are many varieties rasam in south indian recipes. But most of  people daily prepare this pepper rasam. Here we are going to know about pepper rasam. This will use for beginner in cooking.

Ingredients
  • Rice second washed water
  • Tamarind juice -Gooseberry size
  • Green chilli -2
  • tomato-1
To grind
  • Pepper-1tsp
  • Cumin seeds-1tsp
  • Garlic-3 or 4 pieces
  • Curry leaves-2
To Temper
  • oil-2 tsp
  • mustard seeds-1tsp
  • Asafoetida-a pinch
  • Turmaric powder-a pinch
  • coriander leaves-to garnish
Method
Step1
Take Second washed rice water and soak tamarind into this. Keep aside
Step2
Peel tomato skin and crush. Keep aside. Grind the listed items.
Step3
Heat the oil in a pan and add the tempering items one by one, once the mustard seeds stop spattering add tomato crush, green chilly and ground paste. Fry until the raw smell is gone.Now add tamarind juice and needed water.Put in simmer flame and bring to boil until it forms. Garnish with coriander leaves.
